Russian meteorological expert Mikhail Leo warned of a magnetic storm that could impact Earth. In a post on Telegram, the expert stated, "We have talked several times in recent days about the increase in solar activity, the number and intensity of solar flares, and the frequency of magnetic storms that have affected Earth twice since the beginning of August... It is expected that there will be disturbances in Earth's geomagnetic field in the second half of Friday. After 15:00, Earth's magnetic field will become weakly disturbed, and in the evening hours, these disturbances will turn into a magnetic storm at G1 level. On Saturday night, the magnetic storms will continue and may intensify to reach G2 level."
He added, "Recent forecasts for magnetic storms have not been very accurate regarding both the start time and the intensity of disturbances in Earth's magnetic field, so it is very likely that these magnetic storms will start later and be less intense than expected." Solar flares can cause magnetic storms that affect Earth, leading to disruptions in power systems and influencing the migration paths of birds and animals. Additionally, strong magnetic storms can affect communication and navigation systems.
