Taher Al-Nunu, an advisor to the head of Hamas' political bureau, indicated that "the Israeli side has not adhered to all the terms of the ceasefire, and there have been numerous violations." He affirmed that "the Israeli side did not comply with all the criteria agreed upon for the release of prisoners, along with breaching the clauses related to the entry of aid trucks into the Gaza Strip," pointing out that "it did not commit to delivering aid to northern Gaza, which threatens the future of the entire agreement."
He added: "The occupation also violated the agreement by firing in several locations in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of two." He continued: "We are still monitoring the terms of the agreement and sending a message to the occupation and the United Nations that any excuses are unacceptable." Al-Nunu noted that Hamas has proposed an initiative on its part, which was not included in the deal, "consisting of the release of the Thais, and the movement is open to the role of mediators and is ready to seriously explore reaching new deals."
A temporary humanitarian ceasefire lasting four days between the Israeli army and Hamas began yesterday, Friday, following 49 days of war on the Gaza Strip. In the first phase, a group of 13 Israeli prisoners, consisting of women and children, was handed over to Israeli authorities.
