The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced the completion of its operations to evacuate Russian citizens and their families from Gaza, having finalized the last procedures in Egypt to bring them back to Russia. Russian Emergency Minister Alexander Kurenkov stated, "The last group of citizens present in Cairo, consisting of 73 people, including 45 children, is set to depart for Russia. A total of 1,124 individuals, including over 470 children, have been evacuated to Russia, where they received full assistance and support. With the completion of this last group, all evacuation procedures submitted and received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been fulfilled." In this regard, a Russian presidential decision has been made to withdraw the operational group of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations from Egyptian territory.
The minister noted that emergency response teams from the Ministry have been operating in Egypt since November 3. He added, "The ministry sent 15 planes carrying humanitarian aid for the residents of Gaza, delivering 350 tons of various supplies."
