After two months of being released from prison, having served a sentence of three and a half years for inciting debauchery and publishing indecent videos, as well as defaming a famous media personality, security forces arrested the performance artist Sama El Masry again today, Monday, to enforce a final judgment of two years in prison and a fine of 100,000 Egyptian pounds. According to her criminal record, El Masry has been acquitted in 20 cases, the most notable being defamation of media personality Riham Said and former Zamalek Club president Mortada Mansour, who dropped his lawsuit against her. The economic court sentenced the performance artist to six months in prison for defaming Said in another case, despite her withdrawal from the lawsuit. In mid-April 2020, police arrested Sama El Masry to enforce the previous sentence, along with a three-year sentence for inciting immorality and publishing indecent videos, according to "Al-Masry Al-Youm."
