Russian Army Claims to Have Shot Down 13 Ukrainian Missiles in Belgorod

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its air defense units destroyed 13 Ukrainian missiles over the Belgorod region in the south of the country on Friday. The regional governor announced that this resulted in one death and four injuries. The ministry's statement indicated that units in Belgorod thwarted "an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack," adding that 13 missiles were intercepted. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that a man was killed when a house was struck. He added that four people are receiving treatment for injuries. He noted that ten houses were damaged in the attack and that water supplies were interrupted in Belgorod. The Ukrainian armed forces posted a video on Telegram depicting what they described as the sky over Belgorod, showing a fire at least in one building. In the Bryansk region, Governor Alexander Bogomaz stated that six drones were shot down, describing this as "another thwarting of a Ukrainian terrorist attack." He noted that there were no casualties or injuries from this attack. Later, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced that 32 drones were shot down over Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, and Moscow during the night. The ministry did not provide information on damage or casualties.
