Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated the Saudi Arabia bid for hosting the 2034 World Cup after all details and requirements for the bid were completed, in preparation for submission to FIFA in the French capital, Paris. The bid will be delivered by an official delegation headed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, and Yasser Al-Muqbel, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
On this occasion, Al-Faisal expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support and attention. He stated, "The direct supervision of the Crown Prince over the Kingdom's bid to host this major sporting event reflects His Highness's determination to move forward in shaping the future of sports in the Kingdom in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030."
He added, "Alongside the focus on building an outstanding sports generation capable of participating and representing the nation well, our country will continue to excel at various levels and in all fields, demonstrating to the world the young talents we possess that are capable of hosting the most important and largest global sporting events."
It is noteworthy that the bid submission ceremony will take place during an official event organized by FIFA in Paris, with the official delegation led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal and Yasser Al-Muqbel, accompanied by two children from regional training centers. The selection of the two children to participate in the bid submission is an initiative by the Saudi Football Federation, reflecting the aspirations of the young Saudi generation to host the most prominent sporting event in the world of football.
The submission phase is part of the official stages for bidding to host the 2034 World Cup, starting with the announcement by the Kingdom through the Saudi Football Federation of its intention to bid on October 4, 2023, followed by sending the official bid letter to FIFA. After that, the official identity of the bid was launched, carrying the slogan "Together We Grow," leading up to the official announcement of the host country during the FIFA General Assembly meeting in December.
