Today, the Iranian Ministry of Security announced the arrest of a "spy" who had been wanted by the ministry in Ardabil Province (northwestern Iran). The official IRNA news agency reported that this "spy had been in contact through a social media site with high-ranking leaders of the Zionist Mossad and was active under the pretext of liberation in gathering and transmitting information to Mossad."
The agency added that this spy had been pursued by the Ministry of Security and was moving between various provinces to evade capture and ultimately leave the country, but was apprehended by security forces upon arriving in Ardabil Province. With the arrest of this spy, who hails from one of the southern provinces of Iran, his electronic account and related data were deleted by the Israeli intelligence agency.
