Who is the Syrian Officer Targeted by Israel Today?

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today, Wednesday, the death of a Syrian officer affiliated with the Lebanese "Hezbollah" due to an Israeli drone strike on two military sites in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa, which resulted in material losses at both locations. According to the Observatory, these strikes come after "members of factions associated with Hezbollah" transferred debris from an Israeli reconnaissance plane to one of the targeted sites for dismantling after it crashed on June 17. According to sources, the reconnaissance aircraft fell on the roof of a house in the city of Al-Baath in Quneitra Governorate.

In turn, Syrian state media quoted a military source stating that an Israeli drone attack on two military sites in the rural areas of Quneitra and Daraa resulted in the death of an officer and some material losses. A military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA): "At around 7:00 AM today, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression with drones targeting military sites of our armed forces in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa, and the aggression resulted in the martyrdom of an officer and some material losses." Israel periodically conducts strikes in Syria. A raid on the third of this month in northern Syria resulted in the death of 16 people from groups loyal to Tehran, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Subsequently, the Iranian agency "Tasnim" reported that an adviser from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was killed in that strike.
