Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Issues a Decree to Form the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women’s Foundation

The Vice President of the UAE and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, has issued Decree No. (39) for 2024 regarding the formation of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, headed by Mona Ghanem Al Marri, the Foundation's Executive Director. The board includes: Hala Yousef Badri as Vice President, Huda Al-Sayed Mohammed Al-Hashimi, Huda Issa Bouhamid, Khawla Rashid Al-Muhairi, Fahima Abdulrazak Al-Bustani, Moza Saeed Al-Mari, and Khadija Mahmoud Al-Bustani, in addition to the Foundation's Executive Director. This decree takes effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the official gazette.

On this occasion, Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Women’s Foundation and wife of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court, expressed her profound gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his continuous support of Emirati women and his constant commitment to providing a supportive work environment that fosters their role as key partners in the comprehensive development of all sectors in the country and in building its future, according to WAM.

She congratulated the new members of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, wishing them success in leading the Foundation's team towards further accomplishments in supporting Emirati women and enhancing their professional and leadership capabilities. She also expressed her appreciation to the previous board members for their valuable efforts that contributed effectively to achieving the Foundation's goals.

Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated that the diversity of experiences and fields of the board members enhances the Foundation's efforts to elevate Emirati women and increase their participation in all areas, including the economic sector, creativity, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and social roles, in line with the objectives and priorities of the Foundation's work strategy, which aims to make Dubai a global model for women-friendly cities. This aligns with the visionary leadership's proactive vision that has enhanced the UAE's competitiveness globally and established it as a leading model in various domains.

She emphasized that since its establishment in 2006, the Dubai Women’s Foundation has worked to translate the vision and directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum regarding the enhancement of Emirati women's roles in various aspects of life through quality programs, initiatives, and projects, and it will continue to support this path through well-studied work strategies designed according to the highest global standards and practices.
