Reports have revealed that Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City's midfielder, is back on Al Ittihad's radar, paving the way for a potential transfer during the ongoing summer transfer window. De Bruyne's name has previously been linked to moves to both Al Ittihad and Al Nassr, as he is considered one of the prime targets of the Saudi investment fund, according to several reports earlier.
According to what "The Daily Mail" published this Sunday morning, De Bruyne has given Al Ittihad the green light for a potential deal in the summer of 2024 after agreeing to personal terms. The seasoned Belgian star's contract with Man City is set to expire in the summer of 2025, opening the door for his departure during the current transfer window.
"The Daily Mail" highlighted Al Ittihad's failure last season, despite having a distinguished group of players such as N'Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema, as well as Portuguese Felipe Jota. It noted that Al Ittihad finished fifth in the Saudi league, 40 points behind the leaders, Al Hilal.
De Bruyne previously admitted in an interview that it would be difficult to reject offers from the Middle East after reaching the age of 33 and nearing the end of his career, stating that he would earn significant money if he agreed.
