Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, revealed news that the team's fans do not want to hear: the club's activity during the current summer transfer window has ended. Real Madrid signed French forward Kylian Mbappé after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired and failed to secure Leny Yoro from French club Lille after his transfer to Manchester United. This leaves the team in need of defensive support, as well as the possibility of adding another midfielder after Toni Kroos's retirement.
However, Ancelotti put an end to all speculations in his first press conference of the preparatory period in the United States, stating to reporters: "The team is closed now. Vallejo has returned, and David Alaba is recovering from injury. We also have a good group of young players: Juan, Gakubo, and Raúl Asensio. No one will leave because everyone wants to stay."
Regarding the successor to Toni Kroos in the team, he said: "The vertical play was the most important feature of his game; reaching the opponent's half quickly gives us a greater chance to create problems for them and makes us more dangerous. Therefore, we will need to compensate for this." He added: "Where will Jude Bellingham play? The best place for us is for him to be close to the penalty area. We have Luka Modrić, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Federico Valverde. We have a plan to defend well and repeat what we did last season."
It is noteworthy that Real Madrid is preparing to play several exciting matches during the pre-season for the upcoming season, starting tomorrow, Thursday, against AC Milan, followed by a match against Barcelona on August 4 and Chelsea on August 7.
