Syrian Support... Iran: Israeli Aggressions Will Not Go Unanswered

Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad discussed the developments in the region during a phone call with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani, particularly addressing the "Israeli escalation and its recent aggressions against several countries in the region." Mikdad pointed out that "the Zionist entity continues its policy of escalation and broadening the scope of its aggression in the region, persistently committing war crimes and genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza, which must not go unpunished." He affirmed Syria's support for "Iran and the resistance forces in confronting these aggressions and Zionist crimes," praising Tehran's efforts "to stop Zionist crimes and put an end to them."

Mikdad condemned "the complicity of the United States and Western countries with the crimes of the Zionist entity, considering them partners in the aggression against Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria," according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA). For his part, Bagheri affirmed that "what the Zionist entity is doing stems from its failure in its war against the Palestinian people and its attempt to export its crisis and expand the circle of war in the region," noting that "the recent aggressions by the Zionist entity against Yemen, Lebanon, and Tehran, and previously against Syria, which were carried out with American and Western support and with all available tools, will not go unanswered."

Both ministers emphasized "the continuation of consultations and coordination and making every effort to stop Israeli aggressions, defeat Israeli and Western schemes, and achieve security and stability in the region and the world."

### "Decisive Response"

In a related context, the Iranian army commander announced that Israeli assassinations will not go unanswered and will be met with a decisive response. He said: "The choice of Yahya Sinwar to succeed Ismail Haniyeh illustrates how Hamas wants to continue the battle."
