"Communications" Receives Confirmation from the United Nations to Stop Jamming in Lebanon

The Ministry of Communications received a letter from the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations and international organizations through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, indicating that the Radiocommunication Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has communicated with Israel to remind it of its obligation to comply with laws and resolutions regarding the jamming it is causing to communications and the internet in Lebanon. This comes after the Ministry of Communications previously filed a complaint to the ITU regarding this matter. The letter noted that the ITU has informed the Ministry of Communications of this action and will notify the Lebanese government of any information it receives from the Israeli side. The ITU confirmed in its letter that it is in the process of raising the issue at the upcoming meeting of the Radio Regulations Board if Israel does not respond to the union's demands to cease the jamming activities.
