The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that over 50,000 American military personnel are deployed across the Middle East, maintaining a high level of readiness and vigilance amidst ongoing military operations against Iran.
CENTCOM reported the completion of a new round of strikes against Iran for the twelfth consecutive night, targeting military sites including naval capabilities, missile and drone warehouses, coastal surveillance locations, and air defense systems.
The strikes are aimed at weakening Iran's ability to threaten commercial ships and civilian seafarers. This month, U.S. forces have targeted dozens of military sites within Iran, in parallel with the resumption of a naval blockade.
Furthermore, CENTCOM has rerouted nine commercial vessels and disabled one to prevent them from entering or leaving Iranian ports, aiming to curtail Iran's maritime activities.
