Unity Key to Lebanon's Strength, Says Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna

Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna of the Druze sect emphasized the importance of national unity in Lebanon following his meeting with President Joseph Aoun in Baabda. He stated, "Lebanon is strong through its national unity; we called a summit to affirm this unity and safeguard civil peace. With the President, we agreed on these ideas and are committed to what benefits Lebanon, emphasizing the necessity to rally around the state for its protection."

Meanwhile, head of the Finance and Budget Committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan, highlighted after his meeting with the President that "the President’s stance is a cornerstone for confronting challenges and protecting national stability. It represents the choice of Lebanon and its people. Lebanon does not have a choice between being a 'platform' or a 'state,' for the sole guarantee for safeguarding the Lebanese is the establishment of a strong and capable state."

He added, "The Lebanese army remains the backbone of any national guarantee, and its support and capability enhancement cannot be delayed. The army's readiness and effective presence are achieved not by slogans or media statements, but through the necessary political, financial, and practical support."

Kanaan concluded by noting that "despite pressures and challenges, continued legislative efforts confirm that Lebanon is ready and capable of rising and continuing on the path of state-building."
