Israel Advances Systems to Counter Hezbollah Drones

Boaz Levy, CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries, expressed Israel's closeness to devising effective solutions against the threat of explosive drones. He highlighted how current technological advancements could lead to a breakthrough in this domain soon.

Levy explained that Israeli efforts focus on an integrated series encompassing detection, identification, and engagement phases. Several technical solutions are currently under testing and development.

He added that some proposed systems have demonstrated initial effectiveness, utilizing both electronic methods and conventional interception means, while efforts continue to create a scalable and operationally deployable integrated system.

Levy pointed out that current estimates suggest a sophisticated solution might be achievable in weeks rather than months, noting that some technologies have already been tested with promising results.

Israeli reports also indicate the exploration of a wide range of defensive solutions, including directed energy systems, electronic jamming, and electromagnetic techniques aimed at disabling or crippling hostile drones.

The reports clarified that the Israeli Ministry of Defense continues evaluating several prototypes in specialized R&D programs, preparing to make decisions on future systems to counter these threats.

In another matter, Levy criticized France's stance on defense exhibitions, arguing that restrictions on Israeli participation in some European military events reflect commercial considerations rather than political ones.

He affirmed that Israeli companies would continue their presence in international markets and exhibitions, noting that Israeli defense industries still garner significant interest and partnerships in many countries worldwide.
