Trump described the aircraft, a Boeing 747 gifted from Qatar, as "the most luxurious in the world," praising its new red, white, and dark blue design with gold accents. This marks a significant departure from the traditional design of U.S. Presidential aircraft.
The President noted that the plane will feature in an aerial formation during the United States’ 250th Independence anniversary celebrations on July 4, indicating that the rest of the Presidential fleet will eventually adopt the new design.
The new aircraft is set to replace one of the Air Force One planes that has served U.S. Presidents for over three decades. The U.S. Air Force has confirmed that the plane meets Presidential security and safety standards.
