U.S. to Resume Technical Talks with Iran Next Week, Says Rubio

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that technical negotiations between the United States and Iran are set to resume early next week, as part of ongoing efforts to reach a final agreement addressing unresolved issues between the two sides.

Rubio stated that the technical teams would return to work on June 29 or 30, indicating that the talks would be conducted by specialized teams divided according to the files and subjects they handle.

He added that the upcoming meetings are likely to be held in Switzerland, confirming that he will not personally participate in this round. Instead, U.S. State Department officials, Energy Department experts, and other government entities involved in the discussions will manage the talks.

This round follows an understanding reached last week between the U.S. and Iran regarding a ceasefire, while the parties continue to work on addressing issues related to Iran's nuclear program and U.S. sanctions imposed on Tehran.

Observers view this current technical phase as a critical step towards shaping a final agreement, as it focuses on the execution details and practical mechanisms that will determine the future of the political understandings reached in recent times.
