Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has affirmed that Israeli forces will continue their deployment in southern Lebanon. He emphasized that withdrawal from Israeli-controlled areas will not occur as long as the security establishment believes their presence there fulfills security requirements.
Netanyahu stated that Israel currently controls the security zone in southern Lebanon, confirming that this presence will continue 'as long as needed,' with the army continuing its missions to protect northern Israel's residents and reinforce border security.
On the Iranian issue, the Israeli Prime Minister claimed that his country has managed to eliminate the 'existential threat' posed by Iran, noting that Israeli actions have prevented Tehran from acquiring military nuclear capabilities.
He added that Israel still sees other issues that need addressing regarding Iran, asserting that his government will continue efforts to prevent Tehran from possessing or developing nuclear weapons.
Netanyahu concluded his remarks by stressing that his government's position remains firm, saying Iran will not possess a nuclear weapon while he is Prime Minister, affirming the continuation of Israeli policy aimed at preventing any advancement in Iran's nuclear program that Tel Aviv considers a security threat.
