Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Iran's drone attacks on Bahrain, which occurred early Saturday, stating its categorical rejection of these assaults as a threat to regional security and stability.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, emphasized that such attacks are a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. The ministry stressed that these actions undermine international efforts to bolster regional peace and stability.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its full solidarity with Bahrain, affirming its support for all measures taken by Manama to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability amid threats targeting its territory and the safety of its citizens and residents.
Bahrain, along with several Arab and Gulf countries, had earlier condemned Iran's drone attack on its territory, declaring it a flagrant breach of its sovereignty and a clear violation of international conventions and norms prohibiting the targeting of civilian objects and threatening civilian safety.
This escalation comes amid rising regional tensions, with international calls for restraint and the avoidance of actions that could widen the conflict and threaten regional security and stability.
