Prime Minister Nawaf Salam presided over a Cabinet meeting attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri and ministers including Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh, Defense Minister Michel Manse, and Tourism Minister Laura Khazen. Other attendees were Social Affairs Minister Hanin Al-Sayed, Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister Youssef Raji, Economy and Trade Minister Amer Bassat, and others from various portfolios such as Communications, Youth and Sports, Education, and Health.
During the meeting, General Manager of the Presidency Antoine Choucair and Cabinet Secretary Mahmoud Makkiyeh were also present.
Prior to the session, Interior Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar stated, "The General Directorate of Political Affairs and Refugees has withheld the annual certification for Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association pending the completion of investigations."
Labor Minister Mohamed Haidar expressed opposition to the framework agreement, declaring, "Ministers from our party will not press for its inclusion outside the agenda because we have not received any agreement paper; all discussions are speculative media talk only."
Health Minister Rakan Nasser Al-Din emphasized his stance, adding, "The agreement is one-sided and is completely rejected."
