Egypt's President Sisi Urges Adherence to Gaza and Iran Agreements, Stresses Egypt's Border as a 'Red Line'

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has called for the full implementation of agreements reached concerning the Gaza Strip and Iran, warning against any attempts to undermine them. He emphasized that Egypt's borders are a "red line" that cannot be compromised.

During the opening of the strategic leadership headquarters (the Octagon) in the new administrative capital, Sisi highlighted that achieving stability in the Middle East requires adherence to existing agreements and efforts to consolidate peace. He noted that Egypt has made significant efforts to end conflicts and enhance regional security.

The Egyptian President affirmed that the fundamental solution to the crisis in the region lies in reaching a just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian issue, which is based on establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. He added that there can be "no lasting peace and no popular normalization without a just peace."

Sisi pointed out that Egypt has suffered significant economic losses due to regional turmoil, explaining that revenues from the Suez Canal have decreased by about $10 billion, and the state has lost tens of billions due to the war on terrorism.

Regarding security, the president underscored that protecting the country's borders and resources is a "responsibility that cannot be taken lightly." He asserted that the state will not allow any threat to its security, and the establishment of the new strategic leadership headquarters is part of efforts to enhance military and administrative readiness and reinforce the state's ability to face various challenges.
