The Minister of Energy and Water, Joe Sadek, announced that 'fuel pricing is based on customs duty criteria and the average prices of gasoline and diesel, rather than crude oil.'
He stated, 'The increase in fuel prices in Lebanon is lower than the global rise, with a 24 percent difference in diesel. Due to the cost of the war, shipping costs have soared.'
He added, 'The increase in gasoline prices was less than the global increase, and during the wartime period, we successfully prevented the recurrence of queue scenes and the black market.'
