Escalation with Iran Could Last Up to a Month, Says U.S. Official

An American official told Axios that the current escalation with Iran could last from a day or two up to a week or even a month, depending on whether Tehran continues to attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The American official added: "We will deliver a painful blow to make them realize that we are absolutely serious and not joking."
