As reported by Al-Akhbar newspaper:
While Lebanese circles sought to clarify what transpired between Trump and Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa regarding Lebanon, and the US President's announcement of commitments from Al-Sharaa concerning aid in dealing with Hezbollah, President Nabih Berri confirmed to Al-Akhbar that "Syria is not inclined towards this," emphasizing that all issues were discussed with utmost clarity during his meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister As'ad Al-Shibani last week.
Berri also reiterated to Al-Akhbar that "ultimately, the focus should return to what was outlined concerning Lebanon in the Iranian-American memorandum of understanding," which negotiations have started on in Islamabad.
