Germany and France Pursue Joint Policy with Lebanon for Peace in Middle East

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has revealed Germany's efforts to formulate a joint policy with France concerning Lebanon, aiming to boost peace prospects in the Middle East.

In an interview with the German newspaper "Tagesspiegel," Wadephul stated that the German-French cabinet meeting, scheduled for the 17th of this month, will witness the launch of joint initiatives designed to reinforce Europe's role in foreign policy.

He added that these initiatives also include addressing overlapping competencies in the European Union's foreign policy.

Wadephul also discussed "Berlin's pursuit of a joint policy with Paris regarding Lebanon to increase the chances of peace in the Middle East."
