Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi highlighted in his Sunday mass sermon that when politics succumb to narrow interests, they bear no fruit, and decisions made on the rock of division do not endure, while reform choked by the thorns of quota-sharing ultimately dies.
He added, "We desire Lebanon to be like fertile ground, a free, sovereign, and independent nation built on justice and the constitution. We look forward to fruitful ongoing negotiations regarding the south and sovereignty, which safeguard Lebanon's rights, halt aggressions, and secure withdrawal from our land."
