Hezbollah has issued a statement accusing the Israeli enemy of escalating its aggression against Lebanon through systematic killings, bombings, and destruction of homes and villages. The statement decried the international silence and American complicity in these acts of terror, which recently resulted in four deaths and dozens of injuries. Hezbollah criticized the Lebanese government for its inaction and continued reliance on misguided strategies that have led to shame and disgrace, ultimately enabling occupation and continued attacks on Lebanese citizens.
The group condemned these acts of aggression as unjustified and part of a broader American-backed plan to pressure the Lebanese government into fulfilling specific agendas, even at the cost of internal conflict. Hezbollah warned that the government's persistence in this futile approach provides cover for Israeli attacks and prolongs the aggression, granting the enemy time to impose its conditions on Lebanon.
Hezbollah dismissed government claims that futile direct negotiations and the ill-fated framework agreement with the enemy have achieved milestones, arguing that ongoing occupation and attacks negate any such achievements. The release of some Lebanese prisoners, while significant, cannot justify continued aggression and occupation, nor the persisting ineffective negotiations, which the government had previously vowed to avoid unless Israeli aggression ceased.
Hezbollah called on the government to reassess its strategies, put aside stubbornness and disputes for the benefit of Lebanon and its people, and prioritize national unity to protect Lebanon’s sovereignty. The group urged all Lebanese to stand united behind a national consensus to preserve Lebanon’s strength, resilience, and sovereignty against Israeli aggression.
