The Yemeni armed forces have liberated new locations in the Kadha front, west of Taiz province in southwestern Yemen.
The military successfully seized control of the Mihal sites, Al-Makazma Hill, and the Red, Black, and Al-Shikhi Hills in the Kadha front.
Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Majidi, the Chief of Staff of Taiz Axis, stated that “The armed forces of the Taiz Axis and the Homeland Shield forces today launched a joint military operation to liberate the Kadha area in Maqbanah district, west of Taiz province, from the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.”
Brigadier General Al-Majidi confirmed that the joint forces made field progress and regained control over the Makazma and Mihal areas and their surrounding hills in the Kadha front, with fierce battles against the terrorist Houthi militias still ongoing.
Intense battles erupted Tuesday between the Yemeni army and Houthi militants in the western countryside of Taiz, coinciding with multiple airstrikes by warplanes supporting government fighters.
Field and military sources reported that the Houthis launched a broad attack on positions held by national resistance forces northeast of Al-Waziah district, west of Taiz, with heavy battles still ongoing.
The clashes mainly focused on the Ghail and Hanaya areas, with the Yemeni army deploying reinforcements from the fourth region and the Giants Brigades to the heated fronts in Al-Waziah, coinciding with a series of airstrikes targeting Houthi gatherings.
Media outlets close to the national resistance forces announced the capture of the Houthi leader “Abu Ali Al-Ayyani,” head of the so-called quick intervention in Al-Barah, along with several of his members, following fierce clashes in the Al-Waziah front.
Violent confrontations have persisted for six consecutive days on the western Taiz rural fronts, while clashes continue in Suqm fronts east of Hays, south of Hodeidah.
In this context, the Yemeni army's air force has continued targeting Houthi militia sites in western Taiz province over the past hours.
The Yemeni armed forces' warplanes conducted raids on Houthi positions in the Hamir front in Maqbanah district.
Additionally, intensive airstrikes targeted sites, gatherings, and vehicles of the Houthi militia in Al-Waziah district.
Fighter jets carried out an airstrike targeting a Houthi militia gathering and command center in Al-Rahbah School in Jabal Habashi.
