A lightning strike on Afar Mountain in Saudi Arabia resulted in fires breaking out in parts of the mountain, as captured in a video. The Saudi website "Sabq" reported that the mountain, located between the centers of Yalamlam and Jadim in Al-Lith city, experienced the ignition of fires in several areas after a lightning strike hit its summit about two days ago. According to local residents, the fires continued to burn for an extended period, with no one able to access the site due to difficult terrain. The locals expressed their deep concern about the potential spread of the fire across large sections of the mountain due to strong winds, noting that the abundance of grass and trees in the area contributed to the fire's spread. Earlier, the Saudi National Center of Meteorology issued warnings concerning certain regions expected to experience active winds and raised dust, accompanied by enhanced surface winds and reduced horizontal visibility.
