Phone Conversation Between the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Erdoğan

The office of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced in a statement on Tuesday that he spoke by phone with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a new indication of improving relations between the two competing nations. The statement noted that "the relations between the two countries and regional issues were discussed in the talks," which did not specify a date. Erdoğan stated two weeks ago, after a rare meeting with a senior Emirati official, that the two countries have made progress in improving relations, which could lead to significant Emirati investments in Turkey.
