With a wide range of exciting events and shows that will last for 10 weeks, the 24th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises will kick off next Thursday, blending shopping, entertainment, and family fun for residents and visitors from July 1 to September 4. This new edition of "Surprises" offers many new events and activities. The event highlights Dubai's global position as an enjoyable, open, and safe tourist destination, as all participating venues, stores, shopping centers, and tourist attractions adhere to important health and safety measures, including social distancing and wearing masks at all times.
The opening celebrations of the new edition will feature breathtaking light shows at two of the city’s most famous landmarks: Dubai Festival City Mall with the "Imagine" show, and "The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa" with the Dubai Fountain show.
This new season will also include shopping center offers, diverse activities, and concerts featuring Arab and international stars, including Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama and star Faya Younan. The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment revealed the agenda for Dubai Summer Surprises today in a press conference held at "The View at The Palm" in Palm Jumeirah, a newly opened viewing platform on the 52nd floor offering a comprehensive view of the city.
The entertainment shows are designed for all family members, with a focus on children’s activities. The "Madinat Jumeirah" will return with a renewed character at the Dubai World Trade Centre. City Walk will host characters from the Smurfs, transforming the area into a Smurf-themed wonderland with plenty of activities and games for the whole family.
At Ibn Battuta Mall, the beloved classic characters Tom and Jerry will appear in the Tom and Jerry Cheese Town experience, allowing the audience to enjoy games and meet Tom and Jerry, as well as live music performances featuring the popular songs from the famous animated film series.
For the first time, the 24th edition will feature a Restaurant Week event during the summer, allowing food lovers to visit some of Dubai's best restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at competitive prices. The food-related events and discounts also include an Eid al-Adha feast on July 20 and 21, featuring more than 20 events, menus, and promotional offers across the city during the holiday.
