Role in Frozen: Actress Dies After Falling from Hotel Room

Japanese actress and singer Sayaka Kanda, who voiced Anna in the Japanese dubbed version of Frozen, has died after falling from her hotel room. The site "Japan in Arabic," citing "Gigi Press," reported that the 35-year-old Kanda passed away after falling from a hotel in Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido Prefecture in northern Japan. She was found bleeding around 12:55 PM on Saturday and was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. The Hokkaido Prefectural Police are considering the possibility of suicide. On Saturday, Kanda was scheduled to perform the lead role in a musical in Sapporo. Kanda, daughter of actor Masaki Kanda and singer Seiko Matsuda, entered the entertainment industry in 2001 and gained fame for voicing Anna in the Japanese dubbed version of the animated film Frozen.
