The European Conference League: Roma and Mourinho Make History

The Italian club AS Roma has entered the history of the European Conference League as the first champion of this modern European competition, following their victory against the Dutch team Feyenoord (1-0) on Wednesday evening. Roma owes its victory to star player Nicolo Zaniolo, who scored the only "golden" goal in the 32nd minute of the first half of the final match held at the "Air Albania Stadium" in the Albanian capital, Tirana. With this victory, AS Roma lifted the first trophy of the Conference League, marking the club's first continental title. Meanwhile, their Portuguese manager José Mourinho became the first coach to win the title of champion of the inaugural Conference League, as well as the prestigious UEFA Champions League and the second-tier UEFA Europa League.
