Businessman Michel Maktaf has died of a heart attack. Maktaf was the owner of the newspaper “Nidaa Al-Watan,” which he launched in 2019, and he also had a money transfer company that is under judicial investigation by Judge Ghadah Aoun. Maktaf ran for parliamentary elections in 2018 for the Catholic seat in Metn on the “Lebanese Forces” list, but he was unable to win.
