Barcelona Falls 1-2 to Red Bull Salzburg in Friendly Match

The Spanish club Barcelona suffered a 1-2 defeat against Austrian team Red Bull Salzburg in a friendly match held on Wednesday, as both teams prepare for the new football season. Red Bull opened the scoring with a goal from Luka Sucic in the 53rd minute. Danish player Martin Braithwaite equalized for Barcelona in the 82nd minute; however, Brenden Aaronson netted the winning goal for Red Bull in the stoppage time of the second half.

Barcelona continues to miss the services of their captain, Argentine Lionel Messi, whose contract with the Catalan club ended in June. The club's management is still searching for ways to renew his contract without violating financial fair play rules amid accumulated debts.

Barcelona will begin the new season of La Liga, which they lost in the last two years, facing Real Sociedad at home on August 15. Additionally, the team will compete against Italian club Juventus for the Joan Gamper Trophy next Sunday.
