Death of Kuwaiti Artist Mishari Al-Blam After Suffering from Illness

The artistic community was shocked today, Thursday, by the death of Kuwaiti artist Mishari Al-Blam, just days after he was admitted to intensive care due to contracting the coronavirus.

Artist Hassan Al-Blam mourned him through his private Instagram page, sharing a photo of the late artist with the caption "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him, we shall return." Al-Blam had revealed a few days ago his infection with the coronavirus, documenting this with a picture on his Instagram page, where he requested prayers for recovery from the virus he contracted after receiving the vaccine. However, his health condition deteriorated, leading to his transfer to the intensive care unit at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, which treats COVID-19 patients.

The late artist's infection came days after he posted a video documenting his receipt of the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, raising discussions among his fans regarding the vaccine's effectiveness.

Kuwaiti media personality Mai Al-Eidan wrote on her Twitter account: "There is no power and no strength except in Allah. Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him, we shall return. The death of our brother Mishari Al-Blam, may Allah have mercy on you, kind and respectable, who has brought nothing but good. May Allah have mercy on you and grant you a good abode and gather you with the righteous, the truthful, the prophets, and the righteous. May Allah comfort and soothe the hearts of your mother, father, family, wife, and children."

It is noteworthy that the late artist was born in Kuwait on December 12, 1972, and he held a diploma in industrial management from the College of Commercial Studies at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. He began his artistic career in 1991 when he participated in the theater play "Free Kuwait."
