Kuwait Club Wins the Kuwaiti Crown Prince Cup for the Ninth Time in History

The "Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium" hosted the final match of the Kuwaiti Crown Prince Cup between Kuwait Club and Al-Qadsia Club, with significant attendance from officials and the implementation of social distancing measures due to the spread of COVID-19.

Kuwait Club was crowned the champion of the Kuwaiti Crown Prince Cup after defeating Al-Qadsia with a score of 2-1 during extra time, following a 1-1 draw at the end of regular time. The match goals were scored by Oday Al-Saifi for Al-Qadsia in the tenth minute, while Kuwait's goals were netted by Ahmed Al-Akouchi (65) and Sissoko (116).

In the first half, Al-Qadsia capitalized on a defensive error to score the opening goal through Jordanian professional Oday Al-Saifi in the tenth minute. In the second half, Kuwait Club fought back and equalized with a goal from Tunisian Ahmed Al-Akouchi in the 65th minute. The regular time ended in a 1-1 draw, leading to extra time since neither team could convert their opportunities during the initial minutes.

No goals were scored in the first period of extra time, and the score remained 1-1. However, in the second extra period, Sissoko scored the second goal for Kuwait Club (116), putting them ahead 2-1. It is noteworthy that today’s victory marks the ninth title for Kuwait Club in the Kuwaiti Crown Prince Cup, resulting in joy for the players, coaching staff, and fans following the referee’s final whistle.
