Wissam Breidy Justifies Moving His Family to Dubai

Lebanese media figure Wissam Breidy disclosed the reason for leaving his homeland Lebanon and relocating entirely with his wife and two daughters to Dubai a year ago, expressing his disappointment towards his country and stating that he feels like a husband who loves his wife but is shocked by her betrayal, which is very difficult.

In a television interview with the "Al Jadeed" channel, Breidy mentioned that many people criticize Lebanese celebrities who leave their country to live in other nations, as if it were easy for them, because it is hard for anyone to leave their family and job. However, he took this step to protect his daughters, "Bella and Sophia," and to live away from the atmosphere of war. The Lebanese media figure continued that if it weren't for the spread of the coronavirus, most Lebanese would have migrated to other countries, leaving their homeland because a citizen there is worth only a bullet that ends their life. He pointed out that his father was against leaving Lebanon since his childhood, but ultimately encouraged him to travel and leave the country to safeguard his small family.

Breidy affirmed that he does not feel alienated in Dubai, as he found justice, equality, and respect for hard work without discrimination. He noted that the Lebanese community is large there, making him feel as if he is among his people. Wissam Breidy expressed that his emotions have grown since he had his daughters and that he fears for their well-being, wanting to protect them from any distressing situations. He confirmed that all the moments he shares with his family on social media are genuine and not fabricated, stating that the real reason for his success is his wife, Tunisian model Reem Al Saidi.

It is worth mentioning that Breidy self-imposed a quarantine away from his family after suspecting he had contracted the coronavirus, particularly since he had traveled extensively in recent periods. Breidy remarked, "I could transmit the virus to them if I am infected, putting them at risk of contagion, while my decision to isolate will protect my family and everyone I interact with from any potential infection, and I urge you to take this matter seriously and not lightly."
