Train Derailment in Northern Egypt Leaves One Dead and 18 Injured

Two security sources from the Qalyubia Security Directorate in Egypt reported that one person died and 18 others were injured in a train derailment incident on Tuesday evening. The train derailed and collided with part of the platform at the Qalyub train station in the governorate. The sources indicated that the train was en route from the capital, Cairo, to the city of Menouf in the Monufia Governorate. They added that the injured were transferred to Shubra El Kheima Hospital and Qalyub Hospital for necessary medical care.
