The Israeli Ministry of Energy announced today, Monday, that government ministers have approved a plan to expand the Israeli pipeline network in order to increase natural gas exports to Egypt. The ministry noted that "the approval issued today allows for the construction of a pipeline in southern Israel valued at 900 million shekels, or 248 million dollars, which will extend 65 kilometers to the border with Egypt, and will transport six billion cubic meters of gas annually."
