Morocco Anticipates Economic Growth of 3.3% in 2023

The High Commissioner for Planning in Morocco projected today, Tuesday, that "the economic growth rate in the Kingdom will rise to 3.6 percent next year, and 3.3 percent this year, assuming an average grain harvest and an increase in exports." The commissioner added in a report that "a budget deficit of five percent of GDP is expected in 2024, up from 4.8 percent this year." The commissioner also noted that "annual inflation is expected to decrease from 2.8 percent in 2023 to 1.8 percent in 2024."
