Saudi Arabia Guests of Honor at the Doha International Book Fair

The 32nd edition of the Doha International Book Fair launched today, Monday, with participation from over 500 publishers from 37 countries, including Saudi Arabia, which is the "Guest of Honor" this year. The fair was inaugurated by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, alongside Saudi Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Egyptian Minister of Culture Nevine El-Kilani, and several ambassadors and diplomats. The fair, held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, will run until June 21 under the slogan "Through Reading We Rise," and offers visitors around 180,000 book titles. The main events stage will host 37 cultural, literary, and scientific seminars, the most notable being a seminar on Tuesday titled "The Future Vision for the Publishing Industry in the Arab World and Beyond." Additionally, the cultural salon will feature 116 events, including a seminar titled "Technology and Literature: Contemporary Complexities and the Culture of Coexistence," taking place on June 15.
