Russia: America is Uninterested in a Diplomatic Solution in Ukraine

The Russian news agency reported that Russian diplomat Konstantin Gavrilov stated today, Tuesday, that the United States' announcement of plans to increase arms supplies to Ukraine demonstrates its lack of interest in reaching a diplomatic resolution to the crisis. He added in comments published on the same day as the NATO summit held in Lithuania: "Europe will be the first to face the catastrophic consequences in the event of an escalation of the war."
