Opening of the 37th Tunisia International Book Fair

The 37th edition of the Tunisia International Book Fair kicked off today, Friday, at the Kram Exhibition Palace, featuring 279 publishing houses from 22 countries, including Iraq. The new edition, running until May 7, is themed "Fly... with the Wings of Books" and is named after the late Minister of Cultural Affairs, Bachir Ben Salama.

The inauguration was attended by Tunisian President Kais Saied, Minister of Cultural Affairs Hayet Ktari Qarmazi, and Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badri.

The fair's program includes around 100 activities aimed at adults and nearly 300 events for children and young people.
