The Israeli government approved today, Thursday, the commencement of the full evacuation of the city of Ashkelon (which has a population of 156,000 settlers). This decision follows a warning from the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, "Abu Ubaida," to the city's residents against remaining in their homes in response to the displacement of families from the Gaza Strip and their forced evacuation from their residences in several areas. Ashkelon is located 21 km away from the Gaza Strip and covers an area of 45,000 dunams.
