The National Defense Minister in the caretaker government, Maurice Slim, met today, Tuesday, in his office in Yarzeh, with the new Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Thani, in a protocol visit. They discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries. The Qatari ambassador emphasized "Qatar's constant support for Lebanon and its people," stressing "the depth of relations between the two countries." For his part, Minister Slim expressed his "appreciation for the continuous Qatari support for Lebanon, its people, and institutions, as well as its constant backing for military and security institutions."
Additionally, Minister Slim discussed the latest developments and upcoming obligations on the domestic front with MP Slim Aoun. He also met with the Secretary of the Leadership Body of the Independent Nassirists - Al-Murabitun, Brigadier Mustafa Hamdan, to discuss the overall situation in the country.
