The UAE announced today, Monday, the official name change of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to "Ministry of Foreign Affairs." The ministry stated in a statement that the change comes "under Federal Law No. 3 of 2023 regarding amending certain provisions of Federal Decree Law No. 8 of 2022 concerning the organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation." The statement indicated that the law includes replacing the phrase "Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation" with "Ministry of Foreign Affairs," according to the newspaper "Al-Bayan." It also includes changing the phrase "Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation" to "Minister of Foreign Affairs," wherever it appears in the title or texts of the decree and in any other legislation.
