The website noted that "the trip is scheduled to have a bilateral agenda and comes in response to the recent visit of Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to Tehran." The visit is reportedly planned for Thursday, August 17. The Saudi embassy in Tehran submitted a diplomatic note to the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Sunday, August 6, confirming that the official activities of the embassy are ongoing.
