Resignation of Libyan Minister Amid "Normalization Attempts"

The Libyan news agency reported that the Minister of State for the Affairs of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Adel Jumaa, submitted his resignation today, Tuesday, in protest against attempts to normalize relations with "Israel." Jumaa hails from the Warfalla tribe in Bani Walid. He served as the Deputy Minister of Education in the Government of Accord since 2016. In 2021, he was appointed Minister of State for the Affairs of the Prime Minister. The Cabinet of the National Unity Government is led by Abdulhamid Dbeibeh.
